We are a progressive death metal band from the South of England.
We are looking for a bassist aged between 18 and 35 with a degree of technical ability and vision enough to think outside the box, to know when to follow the guitars and when to do his or her own thing. Live and recording/studio experience is preferred but not essential, but good equipment (especially a backline) suitable for gigging is a must.
We use the term 'Death Metal' more as a framework than a rule, and our influences range from Death to Emperor to Judas Priest to Opeth to Slayer to Nile... you get the picture!
Applicants would ideally play 5 string or more (we tune to standard B) and we certainly welcome Fretless players.
We are primarily based in Bristol, but our drummer lives in London. We usually practice in Oxford but have been known to practise in Bristol, Swansea and London, so really anyone from the south of England/Wales with their own transport and a willingness to travel is eligble...
100% commitment is necessary. We would like to avoid someone with too many other bands/projects.
