Turn off the Sun are looking for a guitarist. We are a 4 piece alternative band based in Birmingham / Kidderminster. One of our guitarists, Paul, has decided to leave to concentrate on studies, so we are looking to replace him to keep it a 4 piece.
In the last year we have played several sold out shows at the O2 Academy 3 in Birmingham amongst many others. Our music has been played on radio shows across the world, most notably on BBC Radio 6 on 2 occasions.
We mainly play gigs in and around the Midlands, but also have 2 London shows coming up.
We are looking for someone who can commit to rehearsing 1 night a week for 3 hours, who relishes playing live and can contribute creative idea's to push us forward as a band. Technical ability is not necessarily the most important attribute, we want someone who can add a different creative dimension to the sound we are always trying to improve and develop. The right person must be committed and relish playing live, as we like to gig regularly and play with energy and passion.
No metal guitarists, rock-star ego's or time-wasters please.
