Bass Player required – Hertfordshire-based Rock Band
We are a well-established, self-financed, thirty-something rock band - based in Hertfordhire.
We practice mid-week every week close to J20 of M25 and are looking for an experienced bassist who’s first instrument is bass; who is, or wants to be, a master in his bass craft; who's a great communicator with the drummer, and who can enjoy simple solid rootey stuff, as well as fly around the fret board and let the bass sing. Tony Levin/Chris Squire - fine examples of the style!
Also, we want someone with a positive approach who enjoys having fun with the rest of the band at the same time.
Not doing it for the money, but for the love of the music, and aiming at quality venues/festivals - not high volume pub gigs - we've all been there before. Mainly originals and some covers. If money follows, all well and good, but it is not the primary motivation.
Over the last year we have had airplay in UK and Europe, and we target gigs at national 'circuit' venues supporting signed acts – we are also supported by a well known national rock band promoter. A studio recording is booked in Spring at a top industry-recognised studio, and our industry contacts are expanding at a rate of knots.
Friendly bunch, lots of fun, but wanting a very professional tight bass sound, and wanting commitment to this project as the main project in your musical life.
If you want loads of paid gigs in pubs -this band is not for you.
If you want to explore different genres, get creative, and contribute to a phenomenal pro sound - this is the one for you.
If you're interested, please send us a biog of yourself including age, address, experience and what you want out of a band. Also, why you think you are the one for us. If you can send mp3s showing off your talent – even better.
